Zave visited my studio at the end of December and he was only 8 days old! I love photographing newborns, they are so tiny and precious. I love hearing the story of their arrival. I love being able to give the mummy and daddy a little break from their workload. Make sure you scroll to the bottom of this post to see what my clients get up to during their bubs newborn shoot!

And while I was concentrating on bub, mummy and daddy took some time to check out Facebook lol!

Ella Ruby {Newborn Portraits}

All newborn babies are special, but Ella Ruby is extra special as she is the much wished for and long awaited daughter of Nikki and Chris. Nikki and Chris were one of the first wedding couples I ever photographed ( they were very brave!) and it’s so lovely to be able to photograph them as their family grows.

Ella was 3 weeks old when we took her photos and only around 6lbs. What a precious little doll.

Looking for Autumn leaves….

Reading my friend Karissa from Image Photography‘s blog lately and I’ve been just a little envious of all the beautiful Autumn leaves she’s been photographing in and around Tamworth and Armidale. Since we don’t have many of those lovely trees in Yamba I used the opportunity of being in Graftons See Park today to grab some quick photos of my girls.

Most of the leaves had lost their gorgeous colour, but we managed to find a few nice golden ones. It was an impromptu shoot so the girls are styled in whatever they found clean this morning!

The Bebb Family | A fun portrait session

Photographing this lovely family was so much fun! With four children under 5, two being twins, I knew I was in for an adventure. As the family was holidaying in Iluka we decided that the best spot to go to was the local park which is close by the Clarence River. We swung on swings, climbed in trees, paddled our feet, had running races…all good fun!

When I saw this, I just knew there was going to be trouble!

After all the action, I got a chance to grab a quick shot of mum and dad!

Hanging out with baby Alex | newborn portraits

Jess and Angus | Yee-hah!

My friend and previous photography assistant Jess, married her man is a sensational country wedding in Lawrence on the weekend. For all the unpaid hours, bag carrying, support and laughing at jokes she has heard me repeat many times, the best gift I could give her was to shoot her wedding. Some gorgeous sun and gorgeous girls | Family Portraits

You may remember these girls from a previous post of mine (if you don’t you can view it here). It was the session where we had lightning, thunder and some amazing storm clouds rolling around. So different to what I envisioned our session would be!

I mentioned to Candice that I would love to photograph her family again, just for fun! So we picked a day and decided to go with it. And then we crossed our fingers for some sunlight.

Thankfully on the day of our second session the sun shone brightly and the light filtered through the trees surrounding Kolora Lake, Yamba deliciously.

The girls were as gorgeous as ever; sweet and kind and gentle hearted.

Rebecca and Daniel | a gorgeous garden wedding

I knew Rebecca would be a gorgeous bride from the minute I met her at the Yamba Bridal Expo last year. When I arrived at Rebecca’s house she looked just perfect! Daniel is just so lovely. During their wedding day if I wanted him to smile, I asked him to look at Rebecca. His smile reached his eyes and then went further.

The light was just magic as I was taking photos and I was getting so excited! I guess I am what you would call an energetic photographer. I have way more fun than I probably should! I wish my brides and grooms didn’t have to go to their receptions.

Rebecca and Dan absolutely trusted me with their photographs and were up for anything I suggested. I hope that you love them!

The ceremony was held in Sannas gardens, Palmers Island and they are incredible. Every time I go there I am in awe. You see, I have one plant, it requires watering once per month. And even then I sometimes forget.

Gina is so passionate about her garden and her love for it shows in every corner. I was talking with Gina today and she can’t wait until she can just concentrate on her garden. I told her she could do that when she retires! She thinks she better get a wriggle on because she’s….been 21 a few times!

I have to admit I had a small giggle during the ceremony as my friend and celebrant Christine Preston held the bouquet for Rebecca. She looked like the bridesmaid!

Thank you so much Rebecca and Daniel for having me photograph your wedding. I feel so spoilt to be your photographer!! xx
