Katie and Jonathon {Yamba Engagement Session}

I started talking with Katie in April this year. We didn’t meet face to face before they decided to book me, but I knew that I would just love them as her smile came through in everyone of her emails. Katie and Jonathon are getting married in November in Ballina and I am so looking forward to it. They have one of my favourite celebrants Dawn Shepherd officiating and my friend and up and coming wedding photographer Lee Pinwill will also be coming along to join me in capturing their day. I’m sure it’s going to be a great day all round.

Katie and Jonathon traveled down to Yamba for their engagement session and we decided to just ‘wing it’. I love ‘winging it’! It allows me to drive around with my clients and we just choose locations as we feel fit. I tried out some new locations and returned to some old favourites. Nardeen and Pete | wedding

During Nardeen and Pete’s vows, Nardeen said one line. That one line, for the rest of my life, I know I will never forget…..”You fixed my broken mower and you fixed my broken heart”. I cried….again!

Nardeen and Pete met when Nardeen called on him to fix her mower. Little did she know that this wonderful man would change her life forever. It was a privilege photograph Nardeen and Pete’s wedding and witness two lovely families becoming one. And the blessings don’t end there! Nardeen discovered she was 6 months pregnant not long before the wedding, so now we are all eagerly awaiting the gorgeous baby who will bring the family members up to 7!

Nardeen and Pee decided to have ‘First Look’ for their photos. It meant that we took most of their wedding photos before their actual ceremony. It was lovely and intimate and we were able to grab some lovely family photos at the same time:

The ceremony was held on the grassy knoll at Main Beach, Yamba

We took about 30 minutes after the ceremony to grab a few photos of just Nardeen and Pete without the children. We were also lucky to score some yummy light as the sun was setting”

As I wasn’t staying for the reception we grabbed a First Dance shot within the beautifully decorated room:

Mel and Troy | A Beautiful Byron Bay Wedding

On a warm and windswept day, Mel and Troy were married on Clarkes Beach, Byron Bay. It was an exciting wedding for me as I’ve known Mel since pre school and I was so thrilled to photograph her wedding. Anthony came along to help out and I have to say thank you to him for carrying all the gear all day, holding the reflector (even though I don’t think I unfurled it) and doing the 150m sprint up the beach in soft sand when I left my second camera body in the car!

Flowers on the Run did a lovely job of Mels flowers, her bouquet was filled with beautiful peonies.

The Blue Hulas entertained the guests before and during the ceremony and their music is wonderful and perfectly complemented our location. So worth clicking through on the link to hear their music:

Mel and Troy stood beneath a driftwood arbour contructed by Mels father as Brent Jones officiated the ceremony.

I’m afraid I can’t tell you what happened to get this photo with this being a family blog and all, but I just love the laughter!

The light that afternoon was seriously yummy and it took all my will power to let Mel and Troy go so they could go their reception. I could have kept shooting all afternoon.

The reception was held at the Byron Bay Beach Cafe

The reception was heaps of fun! Mel and Troy had hired a karaoke machine, and to say it was popular would be a great understatement!

Congratualtions again, Mel and Troy. Sooo happy for you!!

Mel and Troy | wedding

Mel and Troy were married on Saturday in a beautiful ceremony on Clarkes Beach, Byron Bay.

My first memories of Mel are going to preschool together in the the back of my Dads Suzuki. It was a while ago! Need less to say, it was an absolute joy to be Mel and Troys photographer. Thank you both so much!

Have a great honeymoon and I’ll look forward to catching up when you get back.
