Kate and Matthew were married in some of the most extreme and unusual weather conditions I have ever photographed in. I have experienced blistering heat, torrential rain, howling winds but never a dust storm.

The marquee was put up on the Wednesday of the first dust storm, then pulled down as it looked as it might fly away and then put up again…phew…but all the effort was worth it:

Kate’s gorgeous wedding gown:

I really think Kate has a bridal glow:

Kate and her girls:

Kate and her Dad travelled to the ceremony in a horse drawn cart, so unique, I just loved it. I felt that the dust storm bought a very unique finish to these photos:

Their ceremony took place at Kate’s childhood home in Jackadgery where friend’s and family gathered to witness and enjoy a day that was so special.

The happy family…check out the toothless grin! Those choppers were lost the week before the wedding!

We travelled by 4WD down to the Mann River for some shots, I didn’t drive, I was chauffeured! I sat in the back of a 4WD listening to Taylor Swift “love Story’…does it get any better than that?

Matthew, the groom I will never forget…his first words to me were : I hate photos!! LOL!

Jackadgery is one place that I love, even in a dust storm we have a beautiful background!

Kate and Matthew have a led bull that they wanted photos with on their wedding day, this proved a bit of a challenge as the bull was not used to Kate in a dress, let alone a white wedding dress. Being the confident photographer I am I took this photo from the protection of a fence and hiding behind a tree:

Yep, that’s me, big and tough!
Come here Bull:

Yay!

Magic:

Until next time,
Vicki
